ANDERSON CONSTRUCTION

 Anderson Construction

Anderson passed a bond last April and now we are nearing completion of the 17,000 sq. ft. complex that will house the 5th and 6th grades, library, computer lab, resource room, and new gym.  One of the classrooms is a designated safe room with concrete walls, concrete ceiling and impact resistant doors and metal window covers.

It all started with about 800 loads of fill dirt.  This was unbelievable!  Duane Mills did an excellent job getting the dirt in place and building the foundation for the rest of the building.

Next was the red iron and metal exterior walls.

Concrete started early one morning!

The erection went slower than expected because of the bad weather.  The parking lot was ready to pour from December 23rd but did not get done until the first of February.

The inside has gone rather quickly.

Currently the inside has drywall that has been prepped and primer has been sprayed on.  The ceiling grid is going into place.  All plumbing, fire sprinklers, HVAC, and gas lines are in place.  Electric is into the building and natural gas will be added this week.

The exterior looks great with the installation of the stuco and stone on the front and west sides.  The poles are going up for the covered awning connecting the two buildings.

Thanks to all of the contractors, TriArch Architects (Taylor King) and CBCI Construction (Jimmy Freeman) for making this project go quickly and smoothly.
